Another post in my series: Albums That Inform Me Everyday (A/TIME). This installment features the album Cure for Sanity (also known by its full title The Pop Will Eat Itself Cure for Sanity) and is the third studio album by the English electronic rock band Pop Will Eat Itself, released on 22 October 1990 by RCA Records. (source Wikipedia) At the time, this sound was groundbreaking—a mix of rock, electronica, breakbeat, hip hop, rave, sampling, and dance, all uniquely crafted by PWEI. Their distinct look, shaped by Sheffield's design legends—The Designer's Republic; made it both a visual and auditory punch. A true game-changer in my musical journey. You must listen to it from beginning to end as the sounds hint at, and call back to each other. It's really a little musical puzzle. Check out the full album here.
