David Carson is a well know graphic designer and one of my earliest inspirations. He got his start art directing magazines such as Beach Culture, Transworld Skateboarding, Raygun, amongst others. He has also dabbled with designing less traditional items such as surfboards, skateboards, cars, and now — a basketball. I first saw this a few months ago and thought I'd pick one up for myself this summer. I was disappointed (yet not surprised) to see they already sold out. The art style of this ball is inspired by his collage aesthetic and is a refreshing change of pace to the normal, orange/brown color used.
