I like a wide variety of music and pride myself on having an eclectic taste. However, there are certain bands from certain eras that I must confess have had a profound impact on me. This is one of them. Not so much for their full catalog, but for a certain 1989 album named "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste" by Ministry. In my opinion, this is the perfect balance of industrial programming and thrashing guitar metal, along with societal messaging and political thoughts on matters of the day lyrically. They were on Chicago's Wax Trax Records label for a short time before they hit it big time with major labels. They are still active today and have since moved more into the heavy metal category, but I still think they were ahead of the times and still hold a place in music invention history (at least for me).
