Just another day and yet another mass shooting. This has become so common place that we as a nation barely offer the "Thoughts and Prayers" message via social media anymore. Which is literally the least one could do. These events get heavy news coverage for a day or so, maybe even a week. Then — nothing. We go back to life as if it never happened. We must STOP this cycle. We must not consider it just another day. Not sure how, but I'd think it starts with changing some laws around who and how people can get firearms. In the meanwhile, take a moment and go remind yourself how many shootings (and deaths) there have been since 2000 — it's staggering.
