CHICAGO GRAPHIC DESIGN CLUB
In 2020, the Chicago Graphic Design Club (originally the Graphic Design Book Club) was established to foster community during the challenges of the global pandemic. Its early mission centered on exploring the purpose of design practices and leveraging design as a catalyst for change. I first discovered their inspiring work in 2022, and soon began submitting my own content to them. By 2024, I was honored to join their Board. Today, the CGDC offers an impressive range of initiatives, including guest speaker events, social gatherings, studio tours, an online radio station, a podcast, an e-commerce shop, and a newly launched magazine. My contributions as a board member focus on strengthening their foundational brand components, developing marketing assets, driving shop growth strategies, writing thought leadership articles, and supporting revenue-building efforts. The organization is poised to achieve 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2025—a milestone that fills me with pride, and it’s a privilege to play a part in their remarkable journey. Below are several examples of my work for the CGDC thus far. Learn more at: chicagographicdesign.club (Note: All the CGDC logos were designed by founder Christian Solorzano.)
